Its 55 kW rating at 400 V AC-3e means it handles standard three-phase squirrel-cage motors up to that load — the AC-3e category specifically covers motors with a higher electrical endurance profile than plain AC-3, so it's a better fit for frequent starting duty. The 48-130 V AC/DC control coil with built-in bidirectional peak limiting eliminates the need for external suppression on the coil circuit, which saves a wiring step and a component on the DIN rail.
This contactor mounts to a plate, not a DIN rail — the 105 mm width and 193 mm depth mean it takes up a fair footprint on the backplate. Power connections are bolted: bar connections up to 25 x 6 mm busbar or ring terminals up to 185 mm². Tightening torque on the power connections is 18 N.m — a torque wrench is non-negotiable here; under-torquing creates hot spots at full load. The auxiliary contact block is 1 NO + 1 NC, built into the contactor. If you need more aux contacts, you'll add a side-mount block — the TeSys Giga range supports that, but verify the stack height fits your enclosure depth.
Certified to EN/IEC 60947-4-1 and 60947-5-1, plus UL 60947-4-1 and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1. It also carries UL 60335-1 and UL 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for appliance and HVAC applications — that's useful if the contactor ends up in a packaged unit rather than a standalone panel. The TH protective treatment means it's tropicalized for humid environments (mold and corrosion resistance).
