DC power switching for heavy industrial loads

What the DC ratings mean for your circuit
The 250 A rated operational current is specified at 40 °C ambient for DC-1 (resistive load). For motor or mixed loads you derate to the DC-3 or DC-5 curve — the contactor's real-world limit depends on the load time constant. The rated breaking capacity of 375 A at 1500 V DC (3 poles in series) and 300 A at 1000 V DC (2 poles in series) tells you the contactor can interrupt a fault up to those levels without welding, which is critical for DC circuits where arc extinction is harder than AC.
Mounts on a plate (not DIN rail — the 108 mm width and 193 mm depth require a drilled backplate).
