The LC1G630EHES207N is a 3-pole TeSys Giga contactor rated for 630 A in AC-3e duty. The AC-3e category (enhanced AC-3 per IEC 60947-4-1) means it is tested for the higher electrical endurance demanded by modern variable-speed drive inputs and frequent motor starts. The control circuit accepts 48-130 V AC/DC with built-in bidirectional peak limiting, so you do not need an external varistor or RC snubber across the coil. Drop-out is guaranteed between 0.1 and 0.45 Uc below 60 °C — useful to know if your control supply is shared with PLC outputs that sag during inrush. Mechanical durability is rated at 5 million cycles, and the B10d safety reliability figure is 100,000 cycles at nominal load per EN/ISO 13849-1. That puts it in the range for safety circuits where the contactor is part of a monitored stop chain, not just general power switching.
This contactor class sits inside motor control centres and large panel builds for pumps, conveyors, compressors, and HVAC fans. The plate-mount format and 70 mm connection pitch suit bolted busbar systems typical in 600+ A switchgear. The IP2X front face with shrouds meets touch-safe requirements per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106.
Integration notes
Mounting is plate-only — no DIN rail clip for this frame. Tightening torque for the power connections is 58 N·m. The 266 mm depth and 284 mm height need to be checked against enclosure gland-plate clearance and busbar rise. Power dissipation per pole is 70 W at AC-1 (Ith 1050 A) and 26 W at AC-3 (Ith 630 A). That heat has to be factored into panel ventilation — at full AC-3 load the three poles together dump 78 W into the enclosure.
