The Schneider Electric TeSys Giga LC1G800LSEN is a 3-pole contactor rated for 800 A continuous current, built for heavy motor switching and power distribution. It carries motor power up to 560 kW at 690 V AC-3e and 700 hp at 460/480 V 60 Hz, so it handles large induction motors in pump, fan, compressor, and conveyor drives. The coil accepts 200–500 V AC or DC, with built-in bidirectional peak limiting to suppress inrush — no external surge suppressor needed on the coil circuit.
The 800 A rating is the thermal current (Ith) in AC-1 duty; for motor loads you size by the AC-3e or AC-3 power figures. At 400 V AC-3e it switches 335 kW, so a 315 kW motor leaves headroom. The rated breaking capacity of 5870 A at 440 V and making capacity of 7640 A at 440 V confirm it clears fault currents without welding contacts — important for coordination with upstream breakers. Mechanical durability of 5 Mcycles means it outlasts most panel life; the B10d of 100,000 cycles at nominal load (EN/ISO 13849-1) is the safety-relevant figure for machine guarding circuits. The contactor meets EN/IEC 60947-4-1 and UL 60947-4-1, so it is accepted in both IEC and North American panels. The TH protective treatment adds humidity resistance for tropical or washdown environments.
Plate-mount only — no DIN-rail option for this frame size. The power terminals accept bar or busbar up to 52 x 20 mm, or lugs up to 185 mm². Tightening torque is 58 N.m on the power connections, so a torque wrench is required. Connection pitch is 70 mm, which matches standard busbar spacing for panel layouts. Dimensions: 266 mm deep, 211 mm wide, 284 mm high.
