Rated AC-3 at 16 A up to 440 V and AC-4 for inching/jogging duty, it handles the forward-reverse switching of a three-phase motor in a control panel. The 36 V AC coil keeps control voltage low for safety circuits.
AC-4 covers plugging and inching, where the contactor opens under higher stress. IP20 finger-safe terminals (per VDE 0106) mean the panel builder can work near live parts without additional shrouding, though the contactor itself is not sealed against washdown. Altitude derating kicks in above 2000 m — no derating needed for most installations. Shock and vibration ratings are specified per IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-6, with the contactor closed handling up to 15 Gn on Y and Z axes for 11 ms, which covers typical rail and truck transport vibration.
The preassembled reversing busbar eliminates the need to wire a mechanical interlock between two separate contactors — one unit does forward and reverse. The 1 NO auxiliary contact provides a feedback signal for the PLC or status lamp. Flame retardance is V1 per UL 94, also meeting NF F 16-101 and NF F 16-102 for rail applications.
