The Square D LC3D180AP7 is a TeSys Deca star-delta starter, built for AC-3 motor starting duty. It's now officially obsolete per the manufacturer's lifecycle notice, which is the first fact a procurement buyer needs.
This is a pre-wired star-delta starter, with three power poles rated for AC-3 utilisation category — meaning it's sized for squirrel-cage motor starting where the starting current is the load. The contact configuration is 3 x 3 NO (three normally-open main poles). Pollution degree 3 and flame retardance V1 per UL 94 back up its panel environment suitability.
Any replacement will require a form-fit-function check against the existing panel mounting and motor rating — the AC-3 and pole count are the gate spec lines.
