The 48 V DC coil pulls in reliably at nominal voltage; the IP20 finger-safe enclosure (VDE 0106) suits panel-mount installations where the contactor is behind a cabinet door.
AC-3 at 6 A handles motor starting current; AC-4 covers reversing duty where the contactor breaks locked-rotor current. The 48 V DC coil is common in control circuits fed from a 48 V supply.
Rated for 2000 m operation without derating — above that altitude, the air density drop reduces arc extinction and thermal dissipation, so the current must be reduced. The contactor withstands 15 Gn shock when closed (Z axis, 11 ms) and 4 Gn vibration closed (5–300 Hz), which covers most industrial panel environments including near presses or conveyors. Flame retardance is V-1 per UL 94, acceptable for most control panels but not the V-0 some rail or aerospace specs require.
