Product details

Overview

The LX1D2F5 is a Schneider TeSys Deca contactor coil, part of the LX1D2 series, rated for 110 V AC at 50 Hz and designed to drive contactors in the 9 to 18 A range.

This coil converts electrical energy into magnetic force to close the contactor's main poles. At 110 V AC 50 Hz the coil draws 7.0 W, producing enough ampere-turns to reliably pull in the armature against spring return. The 18 A current rating refers to the contactor's main pole capacity, not the coil draw — the coil itself consumes 7.0 W. The absence of a built-in suppressor module means the installer must add an external RC snubber or varistor across the coil terminals to limit switching transients. This is standard practice in panels where the coil is driven by a PLC output or relay contact.

Applications

The LX1D2F5 is used in motor control centres, conveyor systems, pump panels, and HVAC equipment where a TeSys Deca contactor must be energized from a 110 V AC 50 Hz control supply. It is also found in reversing contactor assemblies and star-delta starters within the TeSys Deca Advanced line.
