Overview

The LX1FK600 is a Schneider TeSys F contactor coil, order code LX1FK600, designed for AC control circuits at 550...600 V AC 40...400 Hz. It is the replacement coil for the LC1F500 contactor and dissipates 18 W of heat during continuous operation.

This coil converts electrical energy into magnetic force to close the contactor's main poles. With a rated power of 1100 W and a coil resistance of 232 ohm, the inrush current is high but the holding current settles to the 18 W dissipation level. The 23.9 mH inductance shapes the AC current waveform and influences the pick-up time of 100 ms. Rated for 10 million mechanical cycles and a maximum operating rate of 2400 cycles per hour at 55 °C, the LX1FK600 is built for high-duty-cycle applications. The coil has no built-in suppressor module, so an external RC snubber or varistor should be added across the coil terminals if the control circuit generates transients.

Applications

TeSys F contactor coils like the LX1FK600 are used in motor control centres, switchgear, and heavy industrial machinery where large contactors must be switched reliably.
