Drive dimensions and supply requirements
The LXM28AU20M3X: The drive ships without an integrated EMC filter, meaning external filtering will be required for installations that need conducted emissions compliance (e.g., CE-marked machinery). Housing is compact, which simplifies panel integration but leaves no room for a built-in filter. Supply frequency tolerance is tight at 50/60 Hz ±5 %, and the network frequency range is listed at 47.5–63 Hz — the drive expects clean utility or a stable inverter supply.
Production status is active with no announced obsolescence. The drive streams through standard distribution; anticipate quoted lead times consistent with the Lexium 28 family's ongoing availability.
Integration notes
Mounting: compact housing accepts DIN-rail or screw-mount to a backplate. Overvoltage category III, so the drive can be directly connected to the panel's downstream distribution without additional MOVs on the line side. Line current at full load is 8.7 A per phase at 220 V — size the branch circuit breaker and wiring accordingly. Maximum leakage current is 1.35 mA, which is low; no special GFCI sensitivity required. The drive operates with a derating on output voltage above 1000 m altitude: 1 % per 100 m. For installations above 2000 m, plan for a reduced effective voltage to the motor.
