The METSECT5MA025 is a solid-core current transformer from Schneider Electric's PowerLogic range, wound for a 250/5 A ratio. It delivers Class 0.5 accuracy at 6 VA — enough for revenue-grade metering in a motor control centre or feeder panel. Rated operational voltage sits below 720 V AC, with a conventional free-air thermal current of 15 kA and a dynamic withstand of 2.5 Ith. That thermal headroom keeps the machine running during a fault without saturating the core. The transformer is tropicalised, meaning the varnish and encapsulation are specced for humidity up to 95% and a -25 to 60 °C ambient range — the kind of environment that kills a standard split-core unit in a season. It survives the steam and the chemicals in a pulp mill or a wash-down installation.

Mounting & Window
Mounts on DIN rail, a busbar, or a mounting plate. The clip-on body secures with an insulated locking screw — no extra bracket needed for most panel layouts. Bar openings are 25.5 x 15.5 mm or 32.5 x 10.5 mm, sized for a 27 mm cable diameter. Overall footprint: 56 mm wide, 80 mm tall, with a frame depth of 43 mm and a total depth of 63 mm. IP20 protects against finger contact but keep it inside the panel.
