The METSECT5MD050: Offered with insulated locking screw, clip-on, or by-screw mounting, and supports DIN rail, busbar, or mounting plate. The bar opening accepts conductors up to 50.5 x 12.5 mm or 40.5 x 20.5 mm, covering common busbar sizes and large cables. Frame depth is 45 mm, overall depth 65 mm; outside width 70 mm, height 95 mm. That fits most standard panel layouts without cramping.
Ratings and thermal margin
Rated for continuous 500 A primary, with a conventional free air thermal current (Ith) of 30 kA and dynamic withstand of 2.5 Ith. The safety factor of FS5 means the CT can saturate at 5 times rated current without damaging downstream meters. Insulation class B and impulse withstand of 3 kV keep it solid for 720 V AC systems, 50/60 Hz.
