The Square D MGN34DE is a loose enclosure from the Isobar A family, built for flush mounting in a panel or wall cutout. It takes 17 ways in a single horizontal row, which means it handles a moderate-density distribution layout — enough for a lighting panel or a small motor control centre subfeed, not a high-density PLC cabinet. The folded sheet steel body carries an RAL 9001 epoxy powder coat and is rated IP31 per BS EN 60529. That IP31 rating means it keeps out tools and wires thicker than 2.5 mm (solid objects over 2.5 mm) and protects against vertically falling water droplets — fine for a clean indoor electrical room, not for washdown or outdoor exposure.
