The MGN60538 is a Schneider Electric C60N miniature circuit breaker from the Multi9 range, rated 25 A at 50 °C with a D tripping curve. The 3-pole unit breaks all three phases simultaneously. Breaking capacity is 20 kA Icu at 240 V AC phase-to-phase, 10 kA at 415 V, and 6 kA at 440 V, all per EN/IEC 60947-2. The service breaking capacity (Ics) is 75 % of Icu at each voltage level — 15 kA at 240 V, 7.5 kA at 415 V, 4.5 kA at 440 V. That means after clearing a fault at those levels, the breaker is still functional and can be reclosed, not just a one-shot device.
Snaps onto 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, fixed mounting. Occupies 6 x 9 mm pitches (54 mm width) on the rail — standard three-pole MCB footprint. Height is 81 mm, depth 73 mm. IP20 finger-safe terminals suit enclosed panel use.
If your panel runs hotter, expect derating. The D curve (12 x In magnetic trip) is the key selection parameter: use it for circuits feeding motors, solenoid banks, or welding equipment where the startup surge exceeds 5-10 x running current. A C curve (7-10 x In) would trip on the inrush of a large motor; D avoids that. Suitable for isolation (marked yes), with a visible contact position indicator on the toggle.
