The Schneider Electric MGN60657 is a C60H miniature circuit breaker from the Multi9 range, rated 40 A at 50 °C with a C-curve (magnetic trip at 8.5 x In ±20 %). It is a 4-pole device (4 protected poles) with a thermal-magnetic trip unit, designed for distribution applications per EN/IEC 60947-2. At 415 V AC the breaking capacity is 15 kA Icu, and at 440 V AC it drops to 10 kA Icu; at 250 V DC it holds 50 kA Icu. The Ics (service breaking capacity) is 50 % of Icu at AC voltages (15 kA at 240 V, 7.5 kA at 415 V, 5 kA at 440 V) and 100 % at 250 V DC (50 kA). This MCB is suitable for isolation (marked with the open-knife symbol) and carries a contact position indicator for visual confirmation of open/closed state.
The 72 mm width (8 x 9 mm pitches) and 81 mm height fit standard distribution board cutouts; depth is 73 mm. Tunnel-type terminals accept 1.5 to 35 mm² rigid or flexible conductors (with or without cable end), with a stripping length of 14 mm and a tightening torque of 3.5 N·m. IP20 finger-safe protection is standard for the enclosure. The MCB is compatible with comb busbars and distribution blocks on top or bottom, and an optional separate earth-leakage protection block can be added.
The MCB carries 10,000 electrical cycles and 20,000 mechanical cycles durability. Compliance documentation (declaration of conformity, CE marking) is available through the standard Schneider Electric documentation portal.
