Deployment context
Backplate-mounted in a distribution panelboard — the MGP2504TX is sized for 250 A panelboards and also fits 400/630 A panelboard frames.
Protection and signalling detail
The electronic trip unit includes a 20-minute thermal memory before and after tripping, so the breaker remembers prior heating and responds faster on re-close. Local signalling uses a flashing green LED for ready-to-operate, an orange LED at 90 % Ir for pre-alarm, and a red LED at 105 % Ir for overload indication. The toggle control gives a clear contact position indicator. Suitability for isolation per BS EN 60947-2 means it can be used as a disconnecting means.
Durability and environmental range
Rated for 20,000 mechanical cycles and 20,000 electrical cycles at 440 V In/2, or 10,000 cycles at 440 V In. Operating altitude from 0 to 2000 m without derating, 2000 to 5000 m with derating. IK07 impact resistance and Class II electrical shock protection. No earth-leakage protection and no zone selective interlocking (ZSI) on this variant.
