Servo frame sizing for the BOM line
The Schneider Electric MH3 servo in the MH31901P12A2200 build drops into a 190 mm flange package with a 38 mm shaft and parallel key, sized for the mid-torque slot of an indexing or conveyor drive train where 16.5 N.m of nominal torque at 3000 rpm is the design point.
Continuous and peak torque envelope
Nominal torque of 146.04 lbf.in (16.5 N.m) holds steady on either the LXM52 or LXM62 drive at 400 V or 480 V three-phase with 14.00 mA of field-oriented current, which means the motor runs the same rated point on either the standard or the safety-integrated Lexium drive family and the panel-builder does not have to re-validate the torque profile when swapping controllers. Peak stall torque reaches 110 N.m before the drive's 89.61 A three-second current ceiling clips the loop, and continuous stall sits at 30 N.m — that headroom is what lets the same motor punch through inertia peaks during accel/decel without tripping the drive.
Drive loop electrical constants
Back EMF constant of 87.6 V/krpm and torque constant of 1.3 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature define how the LXM52/LXM62 current loop closes around this motor; stator resistance of 0.24 Ohm and inductance of 5.08 mH set the electrical time constant that the auto-tuning routine will lock onto at first commissioning.
Mechanical integration into the machine
Mounting is via the international standard flange with a 180 mm centring collar and 14 mm mounting holes; maximum radial shaft load scales from 2900 N at 1000 rpm down to 2600 N at 4000 rpm so the gearbox or belt-drive designer has to budget the radial load against the operating speed, not the headline rpm figure. The 80 mm shaft with parallel key is the standard mating half for a gear coupling or pinion in this frame size, and without a holding brake the axis relies on the drive's deceleration ramp or a downstream mechanical brake for vertical-axis holding.
Feedback, sealing, and thermal
A SinCos multiturn Hiperface encoder feeds absolute position back over the rotatable right-angled connector, and IP65 sealing keeps the motor body washdown-tolerant for food-and-beverage or wet-process lines; natural convection cooling with a 135 °C copper hot-spot limit is the thermal envelope the drive's I²t model monitors.
