Overview

The REL52816 is a Schneider PowerLogic fibre optic communication module with a glass receiver and glass transmitter, powered by 12 V DC via the RS232 port. It supports Modbus serial, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-103, and SPAbus protocols.

Schneider discontinued the REL52816 on 2024-12-01.

The REL52816 uses fibre optic media (glass 62.5/125 µm) and speaks Modbus serial, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-103, and SPAbus. The REL52820 is an RS485 communication module with direct mounting and an RS232 relay connection — pick the REL52820 when the panel uses copper RS485 wiring rather than fibre.
