290 W servo with dual-speed capability
The Schneider Electric SH30402P16A2100 is an SH3-series servo motor delivering 290 W continuous power from a 40 mm flange frame. Its speed rating depends on the supply configuration: 4000 rpm on single-phase 115/230 V, and 9000 rpm on three-phase 400/480 V — the same motor covers both low-voltage and line-voltage installations without a frame change. Nominal torque is 0.292 N.m on single-phase supplies and 0.31 N.m on three-phase, with a continuous stall torque of 0.39 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range. Peak stall torque reaches 1.5 N.m at 480 V three-phase — useful for short-duration acceleration events.
Encoder feedback and connectivity
Feedback comes from an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder with 16 periods per revolution — this provides position data at power-up without a homing sequence, supporting the audit trail for applications that require repeatable axis referencing after a power cycle. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector, which eases cable routing in tight cabinet layouts. The motor carries an IP65 rating per IEC 60034-5 on both the body and shaft bushing, so it withstands washdown and particulate ingress in food-grade or wet-floor environments.
Motor constants for drive commissioning
Stator resistance is 11.6 Ohm and inductance is 12.8 mH — these values feed the autotune routine in the connected drive to set current-loop gains. The torque constant is 0.26 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 18 V/krpm at 20 °C, both needed for velocity-loop scaling and regeneration braking calculations.
