SH3 frame, no brake — what this motor delivers and what it doesn't
The SH30551P0BA4100: Encoder feedback is the absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL protocol, which rides over a single cable and lets the drive resolve position without a separate battery box — useful on a rotary axis where a battery-backed encoder would force a maintenance interval into the spare-parts list.
Speed, torque, and power — three voltage rails on one frame
Nominal speed tracks the input rail: 4000 rpm at 230 V single phase, 8000 rpm at 400 V three phase, and 9000 rpm at 480 V three phase, with the mechanical ceiling set at 9000 rpm. Nominal torque inverts that picture — 0.5 N·m at 230 V single phase drops to 0.35 N·m at both 400 V and 480 V three phase, so the higher-rail operation trades torque for top-end speed. Continuous output power lands at 160 W at 230 V single phase and 290 W at both 400 V and 480 V three phase; the peak stall torque is 1.5 N·m across the 115…480 V three-phase range, against a continuous stall of 0.42 N·m at 0.73 A. The maximum Irms and 3-second peak output current are both 2.9 A, so a drive set above that envelope hits current-limit before it hits torque-limit. Back EMF constant is 40 V/krpm at 20 °C and torque constant 0.58 N·m/A at 120 °C — these two numbers are how the drive is commissioned, because a mismatched constant on the motor nameplate turns into a torque-ripple or following-error fault on first move.
Mechanical envelope and panel-side fit
The 132.5 mm body fits the standard SH3 footprint on a 40 mm centring collar with four 5.5 mm mounting holes on an international standard flange — that's the panel builder's mating footprint, and it aligns with the SH3 family drill pattern. The smooth shaft is 9 mm in diameter over a 20 mm length, so a coupling or pulley selection must respect those dimensions rather than a keyed shaft pattern. Thrust limits are 40 N axial and 370 N radial at 1000 rpm, the latter dropping with rpm per the standard derating — a belt-driven application needs the tension budgeted inside that envelope or the bearing life collapses. The rotatable right-angle quicklock connector lets the cable exit be set after the motor is bolted down, which matters when the cabinet layout forces a side or top entry.
Procurement posture — active frame, sourced to order
No stock-holding claim and no lead-time number on the page; the buying decision closes when the RFQ returns.
