Form factor and mechanical fit
The SH30552P0AF4100: The output end is a smooth 9 mm shaft, 20 mm long, with a maximum mechanical speed of 9000 rpm and radial load capacity of 190 N at 8000 rpm — adequate for direct coupling to a precision gearbox or a small pinion without exceeding bearing life in normal indexing duty.
Torque, speed and power envelope
Nominal torque is 0.75 N.m when driven from a 230 V single-phase supply and 0.63 N.m on 400 V or 480 V three-phase, with a continuous output power of 530 W on the three-phase rails — meaning the same motor frame works from a single-phase pack machine tool up to a 480 V industrial line, just with different torque headroom. Nominal speed climbs from 4000 rpm at 230 V single-phase to 8000 rpm at 400 V and 9000 rpm at 480 V, so on a 480 V bus the shaft reaches the 9000 rpm ceiling before the torque curve rolls off — that headroom matters for high-throughput indexing where dwell time has to be short. Peak stall torque is 2.5 N.m across 115 V to 480 V three-phase, with a maximum Irms of 4.8 A and a 3-second peak output current also rated at 4.8 A — the 3.3× nominal torque margin is what carries acceleration transients through the cycle budget. Continuous stall torque settles at 0.71 N.m with a continuous stall current of 1.2 A, and the torque constant of 0.59 N.m/A at 120 °C is the figure to use when sizing the drive's current loop — it is the thermal-derated value, not the cold-reading.
Brake, inertia and load handling
The integrated holding brake delivers 0.8 N.m of holding torque with a 10 W pull-in coil, suited to vertical-axis hold when the bus drops — it is sized for static retention, not for dynamic stopping, so emergency-stop braking still has to come from the drive's regenerative path or an external clamp. Maximum radial force is 190 N at 8000 rpm and maximum axial force 40 N, both derated from the bearing curve — a small belt or pinion drive stays inside the envelope; a heavy chain or coupling reaction load needs a separate check.
Feedback, wiring and environmental rating
Feedback is an Absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL encoder on a 3-pole motor — the single-cable DSL link cuts the cable count to one rotatable quick-lock right-angle connector at the motor housing, which is what keeps the cable bend radius manageable in tight gantry routings. Cooling is natural convection with an IP65 rating on both the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, so the SH30552P0AF4100 handles splash and dust ingress typical of a washdown-adjacent conveyor cell without a forced-air kit. Stator resistance is 17.4 Ohm and stator inductance 18.2 mH, with a back-EMF constant of 40 V/krpm at 20 °C — those are the values the drive's current-loop bandwidth calculation wants, not the cold-resistance figure from a bench meter.
