1.1 N.m at 230 V single phase, 0.81 N.m on three-phase — what that means at the shaft
The SH30553P1BA4000: Nominal speed is 4000 rpm at 230 V single phase, 8000 rpm at 400 V three phase, and 9000 rpm at 480 V three phase, with a 9000 rpm mechanical ceiling — so the drive must be sized for the supply class actually wired in, not the highest headline number.
Feedback, phases, and the quick-lock connector
The motor carries an Absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder — a single-cable digital protocol that combines absolute position and comms over the power lead, so only the rotatable right-angled quick-lock connector has to land at the drive end. It is a three-phase stator with three motor poles and natural-convection cooling — no integrated fan, so cabinet airflow and the 130 °C copper-hot limit set the real derating envelope.
55 mm flange, parallel-key shaft, IP65 — the mechanical footprint
Mounting is international standard flange with a 55 mm flange size, 40 mm centring collar at 2 mm depth, and four 5.5 mm mounting holes — it drops into the standard 55 mm servo footprint without a board or bracket redesign. The shaft is 9 mm diameter with a 20 mm length, parallel key, 3 mm key width, and a holding-brake-less build — gearbox or belt coupling absorbs the radial load up to the 710 N Fr ceiling at 1000 rpm, derating with speed. IP65 on the motor body to IEC 60034-5, with the shaft bushing at IP54 without a shaft seal ring — splash- and dust-tolerant for a washdown-adjacent cabinet, but not a full wet-end duty unless a seal kit is added.
