Speed-torque profile across supply voltages
The SH30702M01A1000: This SH3 frame motor delivers different nominal speeds depending on the supply: 750 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm on 480 V three-phase. The nominal torque also shifts — 2.2 N·m at 115 V single-phase, 2.15 N·m at 230 V single-phase, and 2.03 N·m at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase. The continuous power rating is 640 W, with nominal output power varying from 340 W (230 V single-phase) to 780 W (480 V three-phase). Peak stall torque is 7.6 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque sits at 2.04 N·m. The continuous stall current is 1.5 A, with a 3-second peak current of 6.0 A. This means the drive sizing must account for the actual line voltage — running it on 230 V single-phase cuts available speed and torque compared to a 400 V three-phase supply.
Encoder and feedback — absolute single-turn Hiperface
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder. This gives position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle, as long as the drive supports the Hiperface protocol. Single-turn means the absolute position repeats every revolution — multi-turn applications need a different encoder option or external counting. The back EMF constant is 95.9 V/krpm at 20 °C, and the torque constant is 1.36 N·m/A at 120 °C. Stator resistance is 16.4 Ω and inductance is 41.55 mH — these values matter for the drive's current-loop tuning and for estimating I²R losses at the continuous stall current of 1.5 A.
Mechanical interface and mounting constraints
The motor has a smooth shaft (no keyway) with a diameter of 11 mm and a shaft length of 23 mm. The key width is 4 mm — if your load coupling expects a keyed shaft, you will need a shaft adapter or a different motor variant. The flange size is 70 mm with a centring collar diameter of 60 mm and a centring collar depth of 2.5 mm. Maximum radial force depends on speed: 710 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 390 N at 6000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 80 N. The motor is cooled by natural convection — no external fan, so the thermal budget relies on the mounting surface and ambient airflow. The IP rating is IP54 at the shaft bushing without the seal ring, and IP65 on the motor body with the seal ring fitted.
Connector options and installation notes
The electrical connection can be either a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — both are listed as available options. This gives flexibility for cable routing in tight cabinets. The overall length is 187 mm (7.4 in), and the mounting holes have a diameter of 5.5 mm on the international standard flange.
