Speed and torque across supply voltages
The SH30702M12F2100 delivers 3000 rpm at 400 V three-phase input, with a maximum mechanical speed of 8000 rpm. At 480 V three-phase it reaches 3600 rpm; on single-phase 115 V it runs 750 rpm, and on 230 V single-phase it runs 1500 rpm. This speed flexibility lets the same motor frame serve machines wired for different mains voltages without a motor change — the drive parameter set handles the speed scaling. Nominal torque is 2.2 N.m at 115 V single-phase, dropping slightly to 2.03 N.m at 400 V and 480 V three-phase. Continuous stall torque across the 115–480 V three-phase range is 2.04 N.m. The holding brake delivers 3 N.m — enough to hold a vertical-axis load at rest without the drive holding current. Peak stall torque reaches 7.6 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving a 3.7× torque margin over continuous for acceleration through rapid moves or breaking free of a stuck load.
Encoder, feedback, and position loop
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without a home cycle on power-up — the rotor position is known from the moment the drive enables. This eliminates the homing sequence on every power cycle, saving 2–5 seconds per cycle on multi-axis machines. The back EMF constant is 95.9 V/krpm at 20 °C, and the torque constant is 1.36 N.m/A at 120 °C hot copper. These numbers let the drive calculate the actual motor temperature from the back EMF measurement during idle, enabling thermal model protection without an external thermistor.
Mechanical integration and environmental sealing
The motor mounts on an international standard 70 mm flange with a 60 mm centring collar and 5.5 mm mounting holes. Overall length is 212.5 mm, shaft diameter 11 mm with a parallel key and 23 mm shaft length. The IP65 rating on both the motor body and shaft bushing means it withstands washdown — suitable for food processing or packaging lines where hose-down cleaning is routine. Cooling is natural convection — no fan or forced air required. The maximum radial force at 3000 rpm is 490 N, and maximum axial force is 80 N. These limits define the allowable belt tension or direct-coupling misalignment before bearing life degrades.
Electrical parameters and winding data
Stator resistance is 16.4 Ω and inductance is 115.7 mH — a relatively high-inductance winding that limits current ripple at moderate PWM frequencies. Continuous stall current is 1.5 A, and maximum RMS current is 6 A. The 3-pole motor runs on three-phase supplies; the single-phase ratings reflect operation on a drive with a single-phase input rectifier.
