Motor ratings and supply dependency
The SH30703M01A1000 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 family, delivering 830 W continuous power. Its nominal speed and torque shift with the supply voltage: at 400 V three phase it spins 3000 rpm with 2.63 N.m; at 480 V three phase it reaches 3600 rpm at the same torque. On single-phase 230 V it runs 1500 rpm at 2.95 N.m, and on 115 V single phase it drops to 750 rpm at 3.05 N.m. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 2.1 A. Peak stall torque hits 11.3 N.m, and the maximum current Irms is 8.7 A — the 3-second peak output matches that figure.
Encoder, feedback, and shaft configuration
Feedback comes from an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this gives position and speed data on power-up without a homing cycle, as long as the drive supports Hiperface protocol. The shaft is smooth (no keyway), 14 mm diameter, 30 mm length, with a 5 mm key width specified for the keyway version — this variant is smooth, so a clamping or friction coupling is required.
Cooling, sealing, and environmental fit
Cooling is by natural convection — no integrated fan, so the motor relies on airflow from the machine or ambient movement. The IP rating depends on the shaft seal: IP54 without a shaft seal ring, IP65 with the seal ring fitted. The motor body itself is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, meaning it handles washdown when the shaft bushing is sealed. Maximum radial force Fr is 730 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 400 N at 6000 rpm. Maximum axial force Fa is 80 N. The stator resistance is 10.7 Ohm, inductance 27.65 mH, and the back EMF constant is 95 V/krpm at 20 °C. Torque constant is 1.4 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature.
