Power envelope across supply voltages
The SH30703M01A2100: This SH3 servo delivers 240 W on 115 V single-phase, 460 W on 230 V single-phase, 880 W on 400 V three-phase, and 1030 W on 480 V three-phase — the nominal output power climbs with the supply rail, so the same motor frame covers a range of machine sizes depending on the line voltage available. Nominal speed shifts with supply too: 750 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm at 480 V three-phase. The torque curve follows suit — 26.99 lbf.in (3.05 N.m) at 115 V, dropping to 23.28 lbf.in (2.63 N.m) at 400 V and 480 V three-phase.
Encoder and feedback — absolute single-turn Hiperface
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder gives position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle — critical for applications where the axis must know its location immediately after a power loss or emergency stop. The single-turn limit means the encoder tracks one revolution; multi-turn applications need a different encoder option. The torque constant is 1.4 N.m/A at 248 °F (120 °C) copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 95 V/krpm at 68 °F (20 °C) — these define the current-to-torque relationship and the voltage rise with speed, both needed for drive tuning and regeneration braking calculations.
Mechanical interface and environmental rating
Flange size is 2.8 in (70 mm) with an international standard flange, centring collar diameter 2.4 in (60 mm) and depth 0.10 in (2.5 mm). The smooth shaft is 0.6 in (14 mm) diameter, 1.2 in (30 mm) long, with a 0.2 in (5 mm) keyway. IP65 rating on both the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5 — the motor withstands hose-directed water and dust ingress, making it suitable for washdown environments in food processing or packaging lines. Natural convection cooling means no external fan; derate if mounted in a confined space with restricted airflow.
Stall torque, peak current, and thermal limits
Continuous stall torque is 26.02 lbf.in (2.94 N.m) across the 115...480 V three-phase range, drawn at a continuous stall current of 2.1 A. Peak stall torque reaches 100.01 lbf.in (11.3 N.m) at 115...480 V three-phase, with a peak current of 8.7 A for 3 seconds. Maximum current Irms is 8.7 A, and the stator resistance is 10.7 Ohm with inductance 27.65 mH — these electrical parameters define the drive tuning constants and the I²R heating at stall. Copper hot temperature is 266 °F (130 °C), setting the thermal limit for continuous operation.
The sizing reference is SH30703M, which identifies the motor frame and winding variant. For volume kitting or panel-build programs, the same reference applies across multiple supply voltages — order the SH30703M01A2100 for the 480 V three-phase variant with smooth shaft and absolute encoder.
