Motor sizing and voltage-dependent performance
The SH30703M01A2200 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, delivering 830 W continuous power. Its nominal speed and torque shift with the supply voltage: 750 rpm / 26.99 lbf.in at 115 V single phase, 1500 rpm / 26.11 lbf.in at 230 V single phase, 3000 rpm / 23.28 lbf.in at 400 V three phase, and 3600 rpm / 23.28 lbf.in at 480 V three phase. The continuous stall torque is 26.02 lbf.in (2.94 N.m) across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 2.1 A — this is the holding torque at zero speed, relevant for position hold in indexing applications.
Encoder feedback and mechanical interface
Fitted with an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this provides position feedback at power-up without a homing cycle, critical for applications where the axis position must be known immediately after a power loss or restart. The single-turn resolution is sufficient for one revolution of absolute position; multi-turn applications require an external battery backup or a multi-turn encoder variant. The shaft is smooth (no keyway) with a 14 mm diameter and 30 mm length. The motor flange is 70 mm (2.8 in) with an international standard flange interface, centring collar 60 mm diameter and 2.5 mm depth. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 730 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 400 N at 6000 rpm — check this against the belt or coupling load in the drive train.
Environmental sealing and cooling
IP65 rating on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5 — the motor withstands direct hose-down and temporary immersion, making it suitable for food processing, washdown stations, or outdoor packaging lines where moisture ingress is a concern. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or liquid circuit. The maximum winding temperature is 130 °C (266 °F) copper hot. In a confined enclosure or high-ambient environment, verify that the natural convection path is unobstructed and that the continuous torque derating does not exceed the application requirement.
The motor does not include a holding brake — for vertical-axis or safety-hold applications, an external brake or a braked variant from the SH3 family must be specified. The sizing reference SH30703M identifies the frame and winding group; confirm the mating drive's current rating against the 8.7 A peak and 2.1 A continuous stall figures.
