Motor ratings and speed-voltage mapping
The SH30703M02F1200 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor with integrated holding brake, delivering 830 W continuous power from a 70 mm flange frame. Its nominal speed depends on the supply voltage: 750 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm at 480 V three-phase. The maximum mechanical speed is 8000 rpm. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a peak stall torque of 11.3 N.m. Nominal torque at 400 V three-phase is 2.63 N.m. The holding brake provides 3 N.m of holding torque, sufficient to keep the load stationary when power is removed.
Encoder and feedback for position-critical axes
This motor carries an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder, giving position feedback without a home cycle after power loss. The multiturn count tracks shaft revolutions over a wide range, which suits gantry or rotary indexing axes where absolute position must be retained across power cycles. The back EMF constant is 95 V/krpm at 20 °C, and the torque constant is 1.4 N.m/A at 120 °C. These values let the drive tune current loops for the motor's winding characteristics without additional measurement.
Sealing and environmental protection for washdown zones
The motor body is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, the shaft bushing is IP65, and the housing is IP67. This means the motor withstands hose-directed water and temporary submersion, making it a candidate for food-and-beverage washdown lines or outdoor conveyor sections where coolant spray is present.
Mechanical interface and connector options
The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 70 mm square pilot, 60 mm centring collar diameter, and 5.5 mm mounting holes. The shaft is 14 mm diameter, 30 mm long, smooth (no keyway), with a 5 mm key width. Overall length is 254 mm. Electrical connection is via a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — both options are listed, so the cable exit direction can be oriented to fit tight cable-tray routing without a separate adapter.
