Torque and speed across supply voltages
The SH31001M01A2100: This SH3 frame servo delivers a nominal torque of 2.52 N·m at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase supply, with a corresponding nominal speed of 2500 rpm at 400 V and 3000 rpm at 480 V. On single-phase 230 V, nominal torque drops to 2.71 N·m at 1250 rpm. The nominal output power scales with supply: 790 W at 400 V three-phase, 930 W at 480 V three-phase, and 410 W on 230 V single-phase. Continuous power is rated at 660 W. Peak stall torque reaches 9.6 N·m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 2.94 N·m. The torque constant is 1.63 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature.
Encoder, feedback, and connection
Feedback comes from an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this gives position at power-up without a homing cycle, which matters for applications where the machine must resume from a known position after a power loss. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector, letting the cable exit in the direction that best fits the cable-tray or drag-chain layout. The motor is rated IP65 at both the body and the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, so it handles washdown environments without a secondary cover.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor mounts to an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size (3.9 in) and a 95 mm centring collar diameter. Four mounting holes of 9.0 mm diameter on the flange face accept standard metric bolts. The smooth shaft measures 19 mm diameter by 40 mm length, with a 6 mm keyway width and 3.5 mm centring collar depth. Maximum mechanical speed is 6000 rpm, and the 4-pole rotor keeps cogging torque low for smooth low-speed operation. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 900 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 530 N at 5000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 160 N. These limits govern coupling selection and belt-drive layouts — exceeding them shortens bearing life.
Electrical parameters and cooling
Stator resistance is 13.9 Ω and stator inductance is 99.15 mH, giving a relatively high electrical time constant that suits the torque-control loop tuning. Maximum continuous RMS current is 6.3 A; continuous stall current is 1.8 A. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air is required at the rated duty. The hot-spot copper temperature is rated at 130 °C, which sets the thermal limit for continuous operation.
