Speed-torque profile across supply voltages
The SH31001M01F1000 delivers 2500 rpm nominal at 400 V three-phase, and 3000 rpm at 480 V three-phase, with nominal torque holding at 2.52 Nm across both three-phase supplies. On single-phase 115 V the nominal speed drops to 625 rpm and torque to 2.8 Nm; on 230 V single-phase it reaches 1250 rpm at 2.71 Nm — the motor is wound for multi-voltage operation, but the three-phase supply unlocks the full speed range. Peak stall torque is 9.6 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving a 3.8× overload margin over the continuous stall torque of 2.94 Nm — enough for aggressive acceleration profiles without saturating the drive.
Feedback and brake for vertical-axis duty
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder eliminates the need for a homing sequence on power-up — the position is known immediately, which matters on gantries or rotary tables where a reference move would waste cycle time. Holding torque is 9 Nm (79.7 lbf·in) from the built-in brake, sized to hold the load at standstill without power to the motor windings. The brake is spring-applied, power-released, so a power loss engages it automatically.
Mounting and environmental sealing
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm (3.9 in) square pilot and 95 mm centring collar — common for this frame class, mates with standard gearbox input flanges. IP65 protection on the motor body and shaft bushing (per IEC 60034-5) means it handles washdown and coolant splash without additional shrouding — the shaft seal ring is the wet-end boundary. Smooth shaft, 19 mm diameter, 40 mm length with a 6 mm keyway — standard for a 100 mm-frame motor, accepts off-the-shelf rigid or bellows couplings.
Electrical parameters for drive matching
Stator resistance is 13.9 Ω and inductance 34.7 mH — the relatively high inductance keeps current ripple low at moderate PWM frequencies, but the drive's current-loop bandwidth needs to be set for this L/R time constant to avoid oscillation. Maximum continuous current is 6.3 A RMS; the 3-second peak current is also 6.3 A, meaning the drive's peak current limit should be set to match — no headroom beyond the continuous rating for short overloads. Torque constant is 1.63 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature; back EMF constant is 115 V/krpm at 20 °C — use the hot Kt for sizing the drive's current demand at full load.
Lifecycle and procurement
No pin-compatible direct replacement is listed; the sizing reference SH31001M shares the same frame and electrical design, but confirm the encoder type and brake voltage before substituting.
