Active production — what that means for your BOM
The SH31001M02F1100: No minimum-buy premium or lot-specific risk — just a standard production part.
Torque and speed across supply voltages
This is a three-phase servo motor, but its performance scales with the supply: at 400 V three-phase it delivers 2500 rpm nominal speed and 2.52 Nm nominal torque; at 480 V three-phase it reaches 3000 rpm at the same torque. On single-phase 230 V it runs 1250 rpm at 2.71 Nm, and on 115 V single-phase it drops to 625 rpm at 2.8 Nm. The continuous power rating is 660 W, with nominal output power reaching 930 W at 480 V three-phase. Peak stall torque is 9.6 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 2.94 Nm. The torque constant is 1.63 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature — use that for drive current sizing at thermal steady state.
Encoder, feedback, and integration fit
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — single-cable feedback that carries both position and commutation data over a standard Hiperface interface. No battery backup needed for multiturn counts; the drive reads absolute position on power-up. The back-EMF constant is 115 V/krpm at 20 °C, which sets the voltage-speed ceiling for the drive bus. Electrical connection is via a straight connector — no right-angle or rotatable option here, so plan the cable exit direction at the motor mount. The motor carries IP65 protection on both the body and the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, meaning it handles washdown and dust ingress in food, packaging, or machining environments. Cooling is natural convection — no fan or forced air required. That simplifies installation in tight cabinets but means the 660 W continuous rating assumes free airflow around the motor body; derate if mounted in a confined pocket or against other heat sources.
Mounting dimensions and shaft interface
The motor flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) with an international standard flange pattern — four mounting holes at 9 mm diameter on a centring collar of 95 mm diameter and 3.5 mm depth. Overall length is 199.5 mm (7.9 in). The shaft is 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, smooth (no keyway), with a 6 mm key width if you add a key. Smooth shaft means you use a clamping-type coupling or a keyless locking assembly — no keyseat to align, but the coupling must transmit torque through friction or a taper lock. Maximum radial force at the shaft end is 900 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 530 N at 5000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 160 N. Stay within these limits to avoid bearing overload — especially on belt-drive or direct-coupling applications where radial load is highest.
