100 mm flange, 660 W continuous — voltage-dependent speed and torque
The SH31001M11A1200 is a 100 mm flange-size servo motor from the Schneider Electric SH3 family, delivering 660 W continuous power. Its nominal speed and torque shift with the supply voltage: 625 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1250 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 2500 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 3000 rpm at 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque ranges from 24.8 lbf·in (2.8 N·m) at 115 V down to 22.30 lbf·in (2.52 N·m) at 480 V. This motor is built for three-phase operation but can run on single-phase supplies at reduced performance — a useful flexibility for retrofit or low-power lines. The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder gives position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle, saving cycle time in pick-and-place or rotary indexing stations.
IP65/IP67 sealing, natural convection — no brake, no fan
The motor body, shaft bushing, and housing all meet IP65 per IEC 60034-5, with the housing also rated IP67. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan, so the motor runs silently and avoids fan debris ingestion. This limits duty cycle in stalled or low-speed high-torque applications; the continuous stall torque is 26.02 lbf·in (2.94 N·m) at 1.8 A continuous stall current. The maximum current Irms is 6.3 A, and peak stall torque reaches 85.0 lbf·in (9.6 N·m) on three-phase supplies. The motor ships without a holding brake. If the application requires holding torque at standstill (vertical axis, gravity loads), an external brake or the drive's holding current must be specified.
Shaft, flange, and connection details
The shaft is 0.7 in (19 mm) diameter, 1.6 in (40 mm) long, with a parallel key and 6 mm keyway. The centring collar is 3.7 in (95 mm) diameter with a 0.1 in (3.5 mm) depth. Mounting is via an international standard flange with four 0.4 in (9.0 mm) holes on a 100 mm bolt circle. Electrical connection options include a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — choose based on cable exit clearance in the panel or machine frame. The encoder is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface type, which requires a compatible drive with Hiperface interface.
