Continuous ratings and torque envelope
The SH31002M01A2200 delivers 1.1 kW continuous power with a continuous stall torque of 5.8 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range. Nominal torque varies with supply: 5.62 Nm at 115 V single-phase, 5.5 Nm at 230 V single-phase, and 5.28 Nm at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase. Peak stall torque reaches 18.3 Nm on three-phase supplies. The nominal speed scales with voltage: 500 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 2000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 2400 rpm at 480 V three-phase. This multi-voltage capability lets the same motor frame serve machines shipped to different regional mains voltages.
Encoder and feedback integrity
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without a battery-backed multi-turn count — suitable for applications that need absolute position on power-up within one electrical revolution. The Hiperface protocol carries both sinusoidal analog tracks and digital commutation data on a single cable pair, reducing wiring complexity. The back EMF constant is 146 V/krpm at 68 °F (20 °C), and the torque constant is 2.32 Nm/A at 248 °F (120 °C). These values let the drive correctly set current limits and velocity-loop gains during commissioning.
Environmental and mechanical fit
IP65 protection on the motor body and shaft bushing, with IP67 on the housing — conforming to IEC 60034-5. The motor withstands washdown environments and airborne particulates common in food-and-beverage or packaging lines. The 100 mm flange with a 95 mm centring collar and 9 mm mounting holes mates to standard international flange patterns. Maximum radial force is 990 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 620 N at 4000 rpm; maximum axial force is 160 N.
