Active production — what that means for your BOM line
The SH31002M01F1200: It is a three-phase servo motor from Schneider's SH3 family, delivering 1100 W continuous power with a holding brake rated at 9 N.m (79.7 lbf.in). The brake is integral — no external mechanical lock needed for vertical-axis hold or safety stops.
Speed and torque depend on your supply voltage
This motor's nominal speed and torque shift with the input voltage. On 400 V three-phase, it spins 2000 rpm and delivers 5.28 N.m nominal torque; on 480 V three-phase, it reaches 2400 rpm at the same torque. At 230 V single-phase, speed drops to 1000 rpm with 5.5 N.m torque. The nominal output power also varies — 1090 W at 400 V, 1280 W at 480 V, 580 W at 230 V single-phase. The peak stall torque is 18.3 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque sits at 5.8 N.m. That gives you a 3.15× peak-to-continuous ratio — enough for short-duration overloads during acceleration or reversing.
Encoder and feedback — absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface
The encoder is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface type. No homing sequence needed on power-up — the drive knows the rotor position immediately. This matters for applications where the machine must resume position after a power cycle without a reference move. The feedback cable interface uses a rotatable right-angle connector or a straight connector — both are listed as options. Choose the right-angle version when cable clearance is tight against the machine frame; the straight connector suits through-panel routing.
IP65/IP67 — where you can mount it
The motor body carries IP65 per IEC 60034-5, and the shaft bushing is also IP65. The housing is rated IP67 — meaning it survives temporary submersion. This covers washdown environments, coolant splash, and dusty conditions. The connector must be properly mated to maintain the seal. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air. The maximum radial force at the shaft is 990 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 620 N at 4000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 160 N. These limits govern the coupling and belt-drive design.
Mechanical fit — flange, shaft, and mounting
The motor flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) with an international standard flange pattern. Centring collar diameter is 95 mm (3.7 in), depth 3.5 mm (0.1 in). Mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter. The shaft is 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a 6 mm keyway and a smooth shaft end.
