Torque and speed depend on your supply voltage
The SH31002M02A1100: This SH3 frame motor delivers 1100 W continuous power, but the nominal speed and torque shift with the input voltage. On 400 V three-phase, it spins at 2000 rpm with 5.28 N.m nominal torque; on 480 V three-phase, it reaches 2400 rpm at the same torque. The continuous stall torque is 5.8 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and the peak stall torque hits 18.3 N.m for short-duration acceleration. The torque constant is 2.32 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature — useful for drive tuning.
Encoder, feedback, and feedback loop
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — single-cable feedback that reports position even after power loss, no homing routine needed on power-up. The motor has 4 poles, stator inductance 24.3 mH, stator resistance 8.6 Ohm, and a back-EMF constant of 146 V/krpm at 20 °C. These numbers feed the drive's autotune routine; expect the drive to measure and compensate for the cable and motor parameters during commissioning.
IP65, no brake, natural convection — fit for wet, low-duty applications
The motor and shaft bushing carry IP65 per IEC 60034-5 — sealed against hose-directed water and dust ingress. There is no holding brake (: Without), so the load must be held by the drive's holding torque at standstill or by an external mechanical brake. Cooling is natural convection — no fan, so the continuous torque rating assumes free airflow; derate if mounted in a confined space or at high ambient temperature.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size (3.9 in). The shaft is smooth, 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a 6 mm keyway. Centring collar diameter is 95 mm, depth 3.5 mm. Mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter on a standard bolt circle. The electrical connection is a straight connector — cable exit is axial, so plan for clearance behind the motor. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 990 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 620 N at 4000 rpm; maximum axial force is 160 N.
