Speed and torque across supply voltages
The SH31002M02F1100 delivers nominal torque of 5.62 Nm at 115 V single-phase, 5.5 Nm at 230 V single-phase, and 5.28 Nm at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase supplies. Nominal speed varies from 500 rpm on 115 V single-phase up to 2400 rpm on 480 V three-phase, so the same motor frame covers a wide range of line voltages — useful when a machine ships to multiple regions and the drive voltage isn't fixed until the install site. Continuous output power follows the same pattern: 300 W at 115 V single-phase, 580 W at 230 V single-phase, 1090 W at 400 V three-phase, and 1280 W at 480 V three-phase. The 1100 W continuous power rating on the nameplate corresponds to the 400 V three-phase condition.
Brake and encoder — what they mean for a motion axis
The holding brake delivers 9 Nm (79.7 lbf·in) of holding torque, which is well above the motor's own continuous stall torque of 5.8 Nm — the brake can hold the load stationary even if the motor is de-energized, critical for vertical axes or any application where the load must not drift when power is removed. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder reports position over multiple shaft revolutions without needing a homing cycle after power-up — a time-saver on machines that are power-cycled frequently or where a reference run would interrupt production. The encoder type also determines the compatible drive: Hiperface is a standard interface on many Schneider and third-party servo drives.
IP65 and mounting — ready for washdown environments
The motor body and shaft bushing are both rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, meaning the enclosure withstands dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This suits food-and-beverage, pharmaceutical, or other washdown lines where the motor is exposed to cleaning sprays. Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and a 95 mm centring collar. The smooth shaft is 19 mm diameter by 40 mm long with a 6 mm keyway — standard for coupling to a load via a flexible shaft coupling or timing-belt pulley.
