Three-phase supply and speed-torque envelope
The SH31002M02F2100 is a three-phase servo motor whose nominal speed depends on the supply voltage: 500 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 2000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 2400 rpm at 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque also varies with the supply: 5.62 Nm at 115 V single-phase, 5.5 Nm at 230 V single-phase, 5.28 Nm at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase. This means the motor delivers its highest torque at the lowest voltage, which is relevant when sizing for a specific line voltage. Continuous power is 1100 W, with a peak stall torque of 18.3 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range — useful for short-duration overloads during acceleration or cutting cycles.
Brake, encoder, and environmental protection
The integrated holding brake delivers 9 Nm holding torque, sufficient to hold a vertical-axis load without power — essential for safety in Z-axis or gantry applications where the load must not drift when the drive is off. Feedback is via an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder, which retains position through power cycles and eliminates the need for a homing routine on restart. This is the Hiperface protocol, not EnDat or BiSS — confirm drive compatibility. IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing, conforming to IEC 60034-5, allows installation in washdown environments such as food processing or packaging lines where hose-down cleaning is routine.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and a 95 mm centring collar diameter with a 3.5 mm depth. Mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter on a standard bolt circle. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a 40 mm length, a 6 mm keyway, and a smooth shaft end. Maximum radial force is 990 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 620 N at 4000 rpm; maximum axial force is 160 N. These limits govern bearing life in belt-drive or direct-couple applications. Electrical connection is via a rotatable right-angled connector, which simplifies cable routing in tight cabinets by allowing the connector orientation to be adjusted after mounting.
