Multi-voltage torque and speed envelope
The SH31002M12A2100: This SH3 frame servo motor delivers a nominal torque of 5.28 Nm at 400 V three-phase and 5.28 Nm at 480 V three-phase, with nominal speeds of 2000 rpm and 2400 rpm respectively. On single-phase supply, torque drops to 5.62 Nm at 115 V (500 rpm) and 5.5 Nm at 230 V (1000 rpm). Continuous power is 1100 W, with nominal output power ranging from 300 W on 115 V single-phase up to 1280 W on 480 V three-phase. The motor has 4 poles, a stator resistance of 8.6 Ohm, and a stator inductance of 24.3 mH. Peak stall torque reaches 18.3 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, while continuous stall torque is 5.8 Nm at the same voltage range. Continuous stall current is 2.5 A, and maximum RMS current is 9.0 A.
Encoder and feedback — absolute multiturn Hiperface
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — this provides position feedback over multiple shaft revolutions without needing a battery-backed counter at power-up. It is the standard feedback interface for Schneider's Lexium drive family, so the motor pairs directly with compatible servo drives without an adapter or external converter.
IP65 rating and mechanical integration
Both the motor body and the shaft bushing carry an IP65 rating per IEC 60034-5, meaning the motor is sealed against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. This suits it for washdown environments in food processing, packaging, or machine-tool coolant exposure. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air required. The motor flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) with an international standard flange pattern. The shaft diameter is 19 mm with a parallel key and a shaft length of 40 mm. Maximum radial force is 990 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 620 N at 4000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 160 N.
