Motor ratings across supply voltages
The SH31003M01A1100: This SH3 frame servo delivers 1500 W continuous power, but the torque and speed you get depend on the supply you feed it. At 115 V single phase you see 7.8 N.m at 500 rpm; at 230 V single phase it's 7.5 N.m at 1000 rpm; on 400 V three phase it's 7 N.m at 2000 rpm; and at 480 V three phase it's 6.76 N.m at 2400 rpm. The nominal output power also shifts with the line: 410 W at 115 V single phase, 790 W at 230 V, 1470 W at 400 V three phase, and 1700 W at 480 V three phase. Peak stall torque hits 28.3 N.m across the 115 to 480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 8 N.m. Continuous stall current sits at 3.4 A, with a maximum Irms of 14.7 A.
Encoder and feedback
The feedback is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder. That means on power-up you get position without needing a homing move — the encoder tracks absolute position within one revolution. No battery backup required for the single-turn count. The torque constant is 2.35 N.m/A at 120°C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 148 V/krpm at 20°C. Stator resistance is 5.3 Ohm with an inductance of 17.4 mH.
Mechanical fit and environmental sealing
The motor uses a 100 mm international standard flange with a 95 mm centring collar and 3.5 mm collar depth. Mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter. The shaft is 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a 6 mm keyway and a smooth shaft end. Overall length is 240.5 mm. The electrical connection is a straight connector. Cooling is by natural convection — no fan, so keep airflow around the motor in the cabinet layout. IP65 rating on both the motor body and the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5 means it handles washdown and dust ingress in food or process environments. The shaft seal is the wet-end barrier.
No holding brake on this variant (SH31003M01A1100). If your application needs a brake, you're looking at a different order code in the SH3 family. The sizing reference is SH31003M.
