Supply voltage defines the performance envelope
The SH31004P01A1000 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, but its nominal speed and torque shift depending on what voltage you feed it. On 400 V three-phase it delivers 3000 rpm and 7.9 N·m; on 480 V three-phase it reaches 3600 rpm at 6.9 N·m. Single-phase 115 V drops the nominal speed to 750 rpm and torque to 9.9 N·m. That means the same motor frame covers a wide application range — but the drive selection and wiring must match the voltage you actually have on the panel bus. Continuous power is rated 2500 W, with a continuous stall torque of 10 N·m across the three-phase supply range. The peak stall torque hits 40.5 N·m for short-duration moves — useful for acceleration transients in indexing or pick-and-place cycles.
Encoder and feedback — drive pairing matters
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder. That means it reports absolute position within one revolution at power-up — no homing sequence needed on each cycle. The Hiperface protocol is common across Schneider Lexium drives and many third-party servo drives, but confirm the drive's encoder interface supports single-turn SinCos before wiring.
Mounting and environmental fit
The motor flange is 100 mm (3.9 in) with a centring collar diameter of 95 mm and a 24 mm smooth shaft. No holding brake on this variant — the shaft end is smooth, 50 mm long. The IP rating depends on the shaft seal: IP54 at the shaft bushing without a seal ring, IP65 with the seal ring fitted. For washdown or wet environments, spec the seal ring. Cooling is natural convection — no external fan or blower required. The maximum mechanical speed is 6000 rpm, giving headroom above the nominal 3000–3600 rpm range. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 1070 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 740 N at 3000 rpm.
