Power and torque across the supply range
The SH31004P01A1200: This SH3-series servo motor delivers 2.5 kW continuous power, but the torque you get depends on the supply voltage feeding the drive. At 400 V three-phase, nominal torque is 7.9 N·m; at 480 V three-phase it's 6.9 N·m. Single-phase 115 V drops to 9.9 N·m, but at a much lower nominal speed — 750 rpm versus 3000 rpm at 400 V. So if you're sizing for a 480 V line, budget about 12 % less continuous torque than the 400 V rating. Peak stall torque is 40.5 N·m across the three-phase range (115–480 V), giving you a 4× overload margin over the continuous stall torque of 10 N·m. That's enough for aggressive acceleration profiles in pick-and-place or indexing applications, as long as the drive can supply the 32.3 A peak current.
Encoder, feedback, and mechanical fit
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — that's a digital position feedback that remembers the shaft angle on power-down, so you don't need a home cycle on restart. Single-turn means it tracks one revolution; if your application needs multi-turn (e.g., for a leadscrew that travels more than one rev), you'd need a different encoder option. Mounting uses the international standard flange — 100 mm square, 95 mm centring collar, 9 mm mounting holes, 3.5 mm centring collar depth. The IP65 rating on the motor body and shaft bushing means it handles washdown and dust, though the straight electrical connector (not a right-angle) may need clearance in tight enclosures.
