Torque and speed across the supply range
The SH31004P11F1000: This SH3 frame servo delivers a continuous power of 2500 W, but the nominal torque and speed are supply-voltage dependent — a critical point for multi-voltage machine builds. At 400 V three-phase, nominal torque is 7.9 Nm at 3000 rpm; at 480 V three-phase, it's 6.9 Nm at 3600 rpm. On single-phase 230 V, expect 9.5 Nm at 1500 rpm, and on 115 V single-phase, 9.9 Nm at 750 rpm. The peak stall torque is 40.5 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range — this is the short-duration overload capability for acceleration or emergency stops, not the continuous rating. Continuous stall torque is 10 Nm, so the motor can hold that load indefinitely at standstill.
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback on power-up without a homing sequence, within one electrical revolution. This is the standard for multi-axis applications where the machine must resume position after a power cycle — no battery backup required for the single-turn range.
Mechanical interface and environmental sealing
The motor flange is 100 mm (3.9 in) with a centring collar depth of 3.5 mm and four mounting holes at 9.0 mm diameter — standard IEC metric flange pattern. The shaft is 24 mm diameter with a parallel key (8 mm key width), 50 mm shaft length, and the shaft end is parallel keyed. IP degree of protection is rated IP65 for the motor body and IP65 for the shaft bushing when the shaft seal ring is fitted, per IEC 60034-5. Without the shaft seal ring, the shaft bushing drops to IP54. For washdown or coolant-exposed environments, specify the shaft seal ring option. Maximum radial force is 1070 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 740 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 160 N. These limits govern belt-drive or direct-coupling selections — exceeding them shortens bearing life.
Electrical parameters and cooling
Stator resistance is 1.81 Ohm and stator inductance is 18.35 mH — these values set the electrical time constant and influence the drive's current-loop tuning. The torque constant is 1.62 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature; back EMF constant is 103 V/krpm at 20 °C. Maximum continuous current (Irms) is 32.3 A, with a 3-second peak output current of 32.3 A — the peak-to-continuous ratio is 1:1, meaning the motor is thermally limited at peak current to 3 seconds. Cooling is by natural convection (no external fan), so derate for zero-speed or low-speed duty cycles. The electrical connection options include a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — both are field-configurable for cable exit direction. The motor is a 4-pole design.
Lifecycle and sourcing — current production, quoted to order
The motor is part of the PACDRIVE3 servo motor family, category 18359. Supplied one unit per package. For multi-axis builds, confirm the mating drive model and cable set from the same SH3 series.
