Speed and torque across supply voltages
The SH32051P02F1000: This SH3-series servo motor delivers nominal speeds of 750 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm on 480 V three-phase — the winding is optimized for the 400 V three-phase line where it reaches its full 5.5 kW continuous output. Nominal torque follows the same voltage dependence: 31.9 N.m at 115 V single-phase, 27 N.m at 230 V single-phase, 17.5 N.m at 400 V three-phase, and 13.8 N.m at 480 V three-phase. The peak stall torque is 110 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 36.9 N.m.
Encoder, brake, and feedback integration
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without a home cycle on power-up — the multiturn count tracks absolute position over multiple shaft revolutions. This eliminates the need for a reference run on each power cycle, saving cycle time in pick-and-place or rotary indexing applications.
Mounting, shaft, and environmental sealing
The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 205 mm flange size and a 180 mm centring collar diameter. The smooth shaft measures 1.5 in diameter by 3.1 in length, and the overall motor length is 14.6 in. Four mounting holes at 14 mm diameter on the flange face secure the motor to the machine frame. IP65 protection per IEC 60034-5 covers the motor body and shaft bushing — the unit withstands washdown and dust ingress. The shaft bushing without shaft seal ring meets IP54. The straight electrical connector mates with a matching cable assembly; the connector O-ring seals the interface when mated.
Electrical parameters and thermal limits
Stator resistance is 0.3 Ohm and stator inductance is 2.97 mH. The torque constant is 1.75 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 104 V/krpm at 20 °C. Maximum continuous current is 87.2 A RMS, with a 3-second peak current of 87.2 A. The motor is cooled by natural convection — no external fan or forced air is required at rated duty. The hot-spot copper temperature limit is 130 °C. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 3730 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 2580 N at 3000 rpm; maximum axial force is 740 N.
