80 N.m holding torque in a 205 mm flange package
The SH32051P02F1100: The Schneider Electric SH3 205 mm-frame servo motor carries a continuous stall torque of 36.9 N.m at the 115–480 V three-phase supply range and peaks at 110 N.m in stall — about 3× the continuous figure — so any sizing exercise must check whether the application's worst-case acceleration pulse sits inside that 3 s peak envelope before trusting the continuous rating. Holding torque with the integral parking brake engaged is 80 N.m, which means the locked-rotor figure (the brake's job) exceeds the continuous stall of the bare motor — the brake is sized to hold the rotor at zero speed with the full servo torque still available downstream of the coupling.
5.5 kW continuous at 400 V three-phase, derated by supply rail
Continuous output power is 5500 W at 400 V three-phase, dropping to 5200 W at 480 V three-phase, 4240 W at 230 V single-phase, and 2510 W at 115 V single-phase — the 480 V figure falling below the 400 V figure is the field-weakening region beginning to bite, not a data quirk, and matters when the drive is fed from a 460 V US supply rather than a 400 V European one. Peak current capability is 87.2 A rms and the 3-second peak output current is also 87.2 A, so the peak and continuous stator current ceilings align for this winding — the 3 s figure is a thermal ceiling, not an electrical one higher than the inverter can deliver.
Hiperface SinCos absolute multiturn feedback and motor constants
Feedback is an absolute multiturn SinCos encoder on the Hiperface protocol — single-cable digital feedback plus the resolver-style SinCos tracks, so position is retained across power cycles and the drive electronics can resolve commutation angle directly from the encoder without a Hall sensor bootstrap. Back-EMF constant is 104 V/krpm at 20 °C, and torque constant is 1.75 N.m/A — those two figures have to be matched against the drive's bus voltage and current loop to deliver the rated speed without saturating the field-weakening region or starving the torque loop of current.
IP65 housing, 205 mm flange, 14.6 in stack length
The flange is 205 mm with a centring collar of 180 mm diameter and 4 mm depth, mounting holes of 14 mm diameter on the international standard flange pattern, shaft diameter 38 mm, shaft length 80 mm — this is the SH3 family mounting geometry, so any machine redesign that drops a different SH3 frame in its place is a bolt-and-coupler swap rather than a re-machined bracket.
Lifecycle and sourcing pathway
Electrical connection is a straight connector or a rotatable right-angled connector on the same motor body, so the cable entry direction is selectable at install time without re-ordering a different motor variant — useful when the panel layout forces the lead-out in one direction.
