Five-and-a-half kW, three-phase, one flange
The SH32051P02F2100 is a member of the SH3 servo family — a three-phase AC servo motor sized to deliver 5500 W of continuous mechanical output at the 400 V three-phase operating point, with a 80 N·m holding torque and a 14.6 in (370.5 mm) frame length. Sizing reference SH32051P02F2100 points to the long-stack variant of the SH3 line, so the unit fills the high-torque slot in this motor series rather than the compact end. Continuous power and nominal torque shift with the supply. The motor is rated 2510 W at 115 V single phase, 4240 W at 230 V single phase, 5500 W at 400 V three phase and 5200 W at 480 V three phase, with nominal torque scaling from 31.9 N·m at 115 V down to 13.8 N·m at 480 V — the three-phase 400 V point is where both torque and power reach their listed maxima, which is the configuration a drive commissioning engineer should plan around.
Hiperface SinCos feedback and torque constant
The torque constant of 1.75 N.m/A at 248 °F (120 °C) winding temperature and the back-EMF constant of 104 V/krpm at 68 °F (20 °C) are the two figures that the drive current loop and the speed-loop gain calculation both need: the drive firmware reads the EMF constant to scale the velocity observer, and the torque constant converts commanded current into shaft torque. The gap between continuous and peak — roughly a 3:1 overload envelope — is the working headroom an integrator sizes acceleration and deceleration ramps against.
Mechanical envelope — 205 mm flange, 38 mm shaft
The motor flange is 8.07 in (205 mm) with a 7.09 in (180 mm) centring collar 0.2 in (4 mm) deep, drilled on 14 mm mounting holes — the international standard flange pattern that drops onto a standard gearhead or right-angle reducer. The smooth shaft is 1.5 in (38 mm) in diameter and 3.1 in (80 mm) long, which dictates the bore of the mating coupling or pinion. Load limits on the shaft side: 740 N maximum axial force Fa, and maximum radial force Fr that drops from 3730 N at 1000 rpm to 2580 N at 3000 rpm — the radial figure is the one that gates a belt-drive or pinion mounting, because the bending load on the shaft nose rises with the overhung load and falls as the pulley moves closer to the shaft shoulder.
Brake, inertia and thermal envelope
Cooling is natural convection — no external fan, so the motor dissipates heat through the housing surface. The copper hot-spot ceiling is 266 °F (130 °C), and the IP65 rating on both the motor body and the shaft bushing to IEC 60034-5 means the unit is sealed against water jets and dust, which qualifies it for washdown-area machinery and outdoor skids where forced-air cooling is not available.
Lifecycle read on the SH3 line
With no L* successor or P* sibling in the ledger, there is no official cross-reference to a replacement; the existing SH3 platform remains the supported fit. Electrical connection is a straight connector as standard, with a rotatable right-angled connector as the alternate — the rotatable option is the one to spec on a tight-cabinet machine where the cable has to leave the motor in a controlled direction rather than straight out of the back. The unit ships one per package.
