Motor ratings that govern the machine cycle
The SH32051P11A1000 delivers 5.5 kW continuous power at 400 V three-phase, with a nominal speed of 3000 rpm and a nominal torque of 31.9 Nm. The torque constant is 1.75 Nm/A at 120 °C, so the current loop gain in the drive must be tuned to that winding temperature. Peak stall torque reaches 110 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and the continuous stall torque is 36.9 Nm — the thermal limit under natural convection, not the magnetic limit.
Encoder feedback and shaft details
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — the resolver-equivalent position feedback for servo drives that need position hold at power-up without a home sequence. The shaft end is parallel keyed, 38 mm diameter, 80 mm shaft length, with a 10 mm key width. Electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — the rotatable option saves cable strain in tight cabinet layouts where the motor must face down or sideways.
Sealing and mounting for wet or dusty lines
IP65 per IEC 60034-5 when the shaft bushing seal ring is fitted — the motor body and the shaft bushing both carry the IP65 rating, so it withstands washdown spray in food or packaging lines as long as the cable gland is also rated. Mounting uses an international standard flange, 205 mm flange size, with a 180 mm centring collar and 14 mm mounting holes. The centring collar depth is 4 mm — that register locates the motor square to the machine frame, and a mis-match here causes coupling misalignment.
Cooling and mechanical limits
Cooling is natural convection only — no external fan or blower. That means the 5.5 kW continuous rating depends on free air movement around the finned housing; stuffing it into a closed cavity derates the output. Maximum axial force Fa is 740 N, and radial force Fr is 3730 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 2580 N at 3000 rpm. The radial limit at operating speed governs belt-drive or overhung-load applications — a direct coupling is safer above 2000 rpm.
