Motor construction and ratings
The SH32051P12F1100: This is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, delivering 5500 W continuous power at 400 V three-phase supply. Nominal speed depends on the supply: 750 rpm at 115 V single phase, 1500 rpm at 230 V single phase, 3000 rpm at 400 V three phase, and 3600 rpm at 480 V three phase. Nominal torque also varies with voltage: 31.9 N.m at 115 V single phase, 27 N.m at 230 V single phase, 17.5 N.m at 400 V three phase, and 13.8 N.m at 480 V three phase. Peak stall torque reaches 110 N.m across the three-phase voltage range, while continuous stall torque is 36.9 N.m. Built with a holding brake rated at 80 N.m, the motor holds its position when power is removed — useful for vertical-axis or Z-axis loads where the load must not drift.
Encoder, cooling, and environmental rating
Fitted with an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder, so the drive knows the rotor position and turns count at power-up without a homing cycle. Cooling is by natural convection — no fan to fail or collect dust, but the enclosure must allow free airflow for the 5500 W thermal load. IP65 rating on both the motor body and the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, meaning it handles washdown and airborne particulates in food, packaging, or machining environments.
