Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
The SH32052P01F2200: This SH3 series motor delivers a nominal speed that depends on the supply: 500 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 2000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 2400 rpm at 480 V three-phase. The nominal torque follows the same supply-dependent profile — 61.6 N·m at 115 V single-phase, dropping to 28.4 N·m at 480 V three-phase. That means the torque available at the shaft is highest when the motor is fed from a lower-voltage single-phase source, but the speed ceiling is lower. Peak stall torque is rated at 220 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque holds at 64.9 N·m under the same conditions. The continuous power rating is 7900 W, which sets the thermal limit for sustained duty cycles.
Encoder, brake, and environmental sealing
The feedback device is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder, which gives position and speed data over a serial link without needing a home cycle on power-up. The holding brake delivers 80 N·m (708 lbf·in), enough to hold the load stationary when the drive is disabled — verify the load's static torque doesn't exceed this figure before relying on the brake for vertical-axis holding. The motor body and shaft bushing meet IP65 per IEC 60034-5, and the housing is rated IP67. That means the motor withstands hose-directed water and temporary immersion — suitable for washdown environments in food processing or packaging lines. Cooling is by natural convection, so no external fan or coolant circuit is needed; derate the continuous torque if the motor is enclosed in a non-ventilated cabinet.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 205 mm (8.07 in) flange size and a 180 mm (7.09 in) centring collar diameter. The shaft is smooth, 38 mm (1.5 in) diameter, 80 mm (3.1 in) long. The centring collar depth is 4 mm (0.2 in), and the mounting holes are 14 mm (0.6 in) diameter on a bolt circle matching the flange standard. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 4200 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 2910 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 740 N. These limits govern the coupling selection and the overhung load from a belt or gearbox — stay within them to avoid bearing damage.
Electrical parameters and connection
Stator resistance is 0.3 Ω and stator inductance is 2.95 mH. The torque constant is 2.52 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 161 V/krpm at 20 °C. The maximum RMS current is 96.8 A, with a 3-second peak of the same value. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector, which helps route the power and feedback cables in tight panel layouts.
