Voltage-dependent performance — the same motor, different supply
The SH32052P02A1000: This SH3 frame servo motor delivers a nominal speed of 500 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 1000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 2000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 2400 rpm on 480 V three-phase — the same winding, different line voltage, different operating point. Nominal torque follows the same pattern: 61.6 N.m at 115 V single-phase, dropping to 28.4 N.m at 480 V three-phase, while continuous stall torque holds at 64.9 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range — the thermal limit of the frame is constant; the voltage-dependent torque curve is what you design to for the duty cycle. Continuous power is 7900 W, but nominal output power varies from 3230 W (115 V single-phase) to 7980 W (400 V three-phase) — the continuous rating is the frame's thermal ceiling, the nominal rating is the application point for your load profile.
Encoder and feedback — absolute multitrack SinCos Hiperface
Fitted with an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this gives position feedback without a battery-backed count at power-up, and the SinCos analog track provides high-resolution velocity feedback for the drive's current loop. The encoder type dictates drive compatibility: not all servo drives support Hiperface protocol. Confirm the drive's feedback interface supports SinCos Hiperface absolute multiturn before pairing.
Mechanical interface — flange, shaft, and sealing
Motor flange size is 205 mm (8.07 in) with a 180 mm centring collar and 14 mm mounting holes — an international standard flange pattern that matches common gearbox and machine interfaces without adapter plates. Shaft is 38 mm diameter, 80 mm length, smooth (no keyway) — confirm the coupling or pulley bore matches a 38 mm smooth shaft; a keyed shaft is not available on this variant. IP rating depends on the shaft seal configuration: IP54 at the shaft bushing without a seal ring, IP65 with the shaft seal ring fitted — both conforming to IEC 60034-5. For washdown environments, specify the seal ring; for dry indoor use, IP54 is sufficient. Overall length is 405 mm (15.9 in) — verify clearance in the machine envelope, especially if retrofitting into an existing cavity.
Electrical parameters and overload capability
Stator resistance is 0.3 Ohm and stator inductance is 2.95 mH — these set the electrical time constant and influence the drive's current regulator tuning. The torque constant is 2.52 N.m/A at 120°C copper temperature. Peak stall torque reaches 220 N.m (1947.2 lbf.in) at 96.8 A peak current, while continuous stall torque is 64.9 N.m at 25.7 A — a 3.4:1 peak-to-continuous ratio, typical for servo duty cycles with acceleration and deceleration phases. Back EMF constant is 161 V/krpm at 20°C — this limits the maximum speed the drive can achieve given its DC bus voltage. At 480 V three-phase input, the drive bus is roughly 680 VDC, so the back EMF at 2400 rpm is about 386 V line-to-line, leaving headroom for current regulation.
