Torque delivery across the voltage range
The SH32052P02F1100 delivers 61.6 N·m nominal torque on 115 V single-phase supply, dropping to 28.4 N·m on 480 V three-phase — the voltage domain directly sets the available torque, not just the speed ceiling. Nominal speed climbs from 500 rpm at 115 V single-phase to 2400 rpm at 480 V three-phase, so the same motor body covers both low-speed high-torque and high-speed applications depending on the drive voltage. Peak stall torque reaches 220 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, which means the motor can break loose a stalled load without oversizing the frame.
Mill-floor integration constraints
IP65 protection on both the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5 means this motor handles washdown and airborne dust common in steel mill environments — the sealing is at the bushing, not just the housing. Natural convection cooling (no fan) keeps the envelope clean of debris accumulation, but the 130 °C copper hot-spot temperature limits the duty cycle in still-air pockets near furnace zones. Maximum radial force Fr drops from 4200 N at 1000 rpm to 2910 N at 3000 rpm — bearing life on a direct-coupled load follows this derating curve, not the static rating.
Encoder feedback and brake for tension hold
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder eliminates homing cycles on power-up — critical for a rolling mill where the strip position must be known after a drive trip.
The motor ships with both straight and rotatable right-angle connector options, allowing cable exit orientation to be adjusted in the panel layout without a separate adapter.
